Happy Monday, Interwebs!
As some of you might know, I’m quite the health and fitness freak (save for some occasion treats). Lately, I’ve been making the extra effort to add as much protein in my diet as possible–gotta build those muscles! Three weeks have passed and I’ve seen a huge improvement: I have more energy, build muscle faster, stay full longer, and just feel great overall.
And it all starts with breakfast. I look for two things in my breakfast: high protein and high fiber. So when I came across the Tone It Up! girls’ protein pancakes, I fell in love. Soon enough, it transformed into my own version, which I made a video for. So, enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 egg whites, whipped
1/4 instant oatmeal
1 scoop of your favorite protein powder
1 tbsp ground flax
1 tsp baking soda
cinnamon, nutmeg
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 banana, mashed
1 tbsp vanilla extract
strawberries, blueberries (or whatever fruit you like!)
Feel free to add/remove ingredients as you wish! The banana isn’t totally necessary, and I often remove it from the dish.
Leave me any questions or comments, I’d be happy to answer them!
P.S. Check out the Tone it Up website; it’s chock-full of exercises, recipes, and motivation.
