Catch me on TV — I’m hosting ‘Farm to Fork’ on PBS!

Can I first say? It’s extremely difficult for me to keep my mouth shut about exciting things. These last few months I have been dying to spill the beans about a project that I’m not only crazy about, but have also spent hours working on.

So, here it goes…

In September, I’ll be appearing PBS’ national show, America’s Heartland. Not once, not twice, but in 11 episodes to host a fun and unique segment called Farm to Fork.

The name gives it all away. In each episode I’ll meet with a farmer to learn a little bit about their crop. Then, together we’ll cook up a few unexpected dishes to show off that fruit or vegetable.

But these ain’t your mama’s fruit and vegetable dishes. I won’t spoil everything, but Blueberry BBQ Salmon, and Pineapple Meatball Skewers are just a couple crazy concoctions I’ve come up with for the show.

It’s been a ton of fun, and a lot of hard work. You know I’ve developed recipes and created videos for Flavorcraft in the past, but working on a big TV production is a whole different animal.

I’ve gone home after a long day at CNET to test, retest, rework, and perfect these recipes. But, if you follow me on Instagram, you know how passionate I am about food, so all that work is truly fun for me.

Speaking of CNET, do not worry! I am still committed to technology and bringing you the best how-tos and useful DIYs on CNET How To and Always On. I’m not going anywhere, just adding a little more “flavor” to my repertoire.

Check out the teaser video and feel free to ask any questions! You can also follow more behind-the-scenes photos and videos on the America’s Heartland Facebook page.
